“You look like a librarian,” said both my brother and my boyfriend. But I don’t care. This outfit started with the headband. I really wanted to wear this diamond shaped gold metal headband and I hate ponytails so of course I threw my hair up in a sock bun. But not all outfits work with a sock bun. So I pulled together a professional look featuring a snake print blouse and textured pencil skirt, just so I could wear this headband.
Snake print & textured pencil skirt
Also, this skirt is my first purchase I have ever made from Anthropologie. I have always loved the store, from the vintage-inspired furniture, to the dining sets, teacups and books, I always enjoy just strolling through the stores. This skirt hugs my hips and my curves comfortably without pinching. It is elastic all over so it isn’t restricting.
As for this snake print blouse, I got it from a thrift store for less than $10! Honestly, why anyone would pay full price for a work outfit is beyond me. You can find great second hand pencil skirts, blouses, blazers, and trousers for like a fifth of the price.
