Style can’t be bought with buckets of cash. Style is how you wear your clothes. Layering is one of the easiest ways to achieve personal style while remaining comfortable. This outfit features my boho mini dress worn as a slip under a shorter green shift dress.
Last week I had the lovely opportunity to be a part of my first Sip. Shop. Swap event in Coronado’s Mis Match Boutique. I am such a sucker for a good deal, in fact a ton of my clothes I buy are thrifted, found at consignment shops, or are right off the clearance rack. The Sip. Shop. Swap event was even better because I came back with three brand used items that didn’t cost me a thing!
Being that I was one of the five bloggers hosting for the panel, I figured I should look stylish yet still accessible. Plus, since it was fall I wanted to also convey the change in seasons.
This outfit actually consists of two separate parts. Remember this vintage boho mini dress that I scored on Amazon for an amazing price? I layered it under this emerald green shift dress from Ross to give me a bit more coverage and dimensional fall look. The green shift dress has a pretty high slit in the side, which at first I thought that is such a fun idea especially since people tend to get weirded out when fatties like myself show a little skin. But because this was a bit of a low-key event I figured the lace overlay would work great underneath.
I also discovered that Mis Match Boutique offers a few plus size pieces in-store! Think, the cute clothes you would find on Etsy and Pinterest that have a bit of a bohemian vibe.
