I am so over winter clothing. I am ready to put away the peacoats, hang up the scarves and stow away the thick sweaters. Thank goodness, during the day, I can pull off a flair of bohemian style casual wear by layering a bodycon dress under a shorter tunic. I can’t wait to be able to just throw on this kimono over my bikini and just lay by the beach. I guess for now this boho inspired outfit can make up for it.
Winter dress layers under a kimono
To help keep warm and with the season, I paired this, otherwise summer, kimono and tunic with a bodycon dress under it and booties. This orange tunic was originally a dress, but my boyfriend did the laundry and of course didn’t remember to pull it out of the wash and dried it up to the size of a large shirt. Only after I had only worn this dress once.
The neat thing about this tunic, which was once a dress, is that it is from a boutique in San Diego. Not just a boutique but a straight size store with a section for plus sizes. Now, the plus size section was ridiculously small compared to the selection offered in the straight sizes, but hey it’s a start. It allows us curvy plus size fashion lovers the chance to buy the same styles as standard sizes but in a size that fits us. Woo!
