Do you ever wear an outfit and think “Damn I’m cute”? I looked into the mirror trying to put together some holiday inspired outfits for winter, and landed on this look. Holiday outfits are a beast of their own. Most Christmas parties are tame family get togethers. But every once in a while your crazy friend from college puts together a rager. This all white look featuring a sweater dress and my fur vest, is more for the family Christmas party.
The key to putting together a holiday look to meet the boyfriend’s parents, or your estranged aunt, is having something interesting. This outfit is simple but is elevated with the fur vest and the fact that it’s mostly cream. Also, the material in the shoes matches the material in the bag.

Any reason to wear these heels is a good reason to go out. I loved these Sam Edelman pointed heels so much that I bought it in this olive color and in a purple maroon hue. The heel is not high at all so I can walk quite a while in them. They make for great girl’s night out heels; as well as, office heels.
Because they have a pointed toe and are under two inches, these heels can go from work to drinks without having to change. Also, because the heel is so low, you can walk from your car to the bar without having to hobble.
When it comes to choosing outfits to wear for the holidays, it should come down to comfort and style.
My tips for picking a holiday look:
- Don’t wear jeans.
- Consider your ability to eat colored foods without spilling it on yourself.
- Don’t create your outfit around your shoes (most holiday parties in houses you take your shoes off anyway).
- Pick a statement piece for people to comment on when you meet them.
- Avoid tight tops so you can feast until your heart’s content.
These tips should help you better enjoy a family party or even an acquaintance’s holiday get together.
If you ever find a pair of shoes that both look good and are comfortable as heck, BUY IT. Then go back and buy them in all the colors they have. I wear the crap out of these heels. It’s hard to find heels to wear with dresses that don’t make me look like a Gogo dancer or night club promoter. But these Sam Edelman heels are just my kind of shoe.
