One trend that will never go out of style is white jeans and a denim button-up. These two denim staple wardrobe pieces can be mixed and matched with any number of styles. But my favorite way to style a denim button-up and white jeans is together. You know it’s spring when you start to see the lighter shades popping up in outfits.
Denim-on-denim is versatile. You can tuck a denim shirt three different ways, you can tie it, and button it to reveal more cleavage or button-up to the neck to show off a statement necklace. For this look I buttoned it up all the way and styled it with neutral wooden necklace.
This necklace is one of my favorites. It may seem a bit raggedy and too earthy for the style trends now but when a necklace has significance it stands the test of times. This wooden bauble necklace was a gift from my godmother. She had recently taken a trip to India and had all of these cool stories and random bits from India. Along with the bauble necklace, my godmother also brought back some jeweled bindis and tasseled earrings.
When selecting which shoes to wear with this look, I knew I needed something with an edge. I thought about going with some hot pink pumps, but the details on these pumps were too beautiful to resist. The snake print on the back of these Seychelles shoes are the perfect touch of sass. The tie wraparound detail also give stability and a fun details that goes great with summer dresses.
I feel lucky that I have been able to enjoy the sun even when the rest of the world is getting darker my outfits seem to get lighter. Again, who the heck said no white after Labor Day!?
Curvy women in white jeans is life. If you have been sticking to dark denim and black jeans to avoid “appearing heavier” or wider, or fatter, now’s the time to stop. Plus size retailers offer a range of styles for us now. I think they finally are starting to realize that we want jeans that hug our curves and show off our assets. Better yet, plus size jeans are getting more affordable!
